Practical training

Shopify Course

A hands-on course that teaches you how to set up, customize, and launch a real Shopify store — by building one as you learn. No theory marathons, no skipped steps.

Overview

What this course is

This is a practical, build-as-you-go course on launching a store with Shopify. Instead of watching hours of slides, you work inside a real Shopify store from the first lesson: adding products, shaping the theme, connecting payments, and preparing for launch.

Every concept is tied to an action. When we cover collections, you build your collections. When we cover shipping, you set up your shipping zones. By the end, you do not just understand Shopify — you have a store that is ready, or close to ready, to take orders.

Fit

Who it’s for

This course is built for people who want a working store, not a certificate on the wall:

  • New founders launching their first online store
  • Shop owners moving an existing retail business online
  • Freelancers who want to offer Shopify setup as a service
  • Anyone who has tried to learn Shopify alone and got stuck halfway

If you have never touched Shopify before, that is fine — we start from zero. If you have a half-finished store sitting in your account, this course helps you finish it properly.

Curriculum

What’s inside the curriculum

The course follows the real order of launching a store. Here is what each module covers:

1. Store setup from zero

Creating your account, choosing the right plan for your stage, and configuring the core store settings — currency, taxes, languages, and store information — so nothing surprises you later.

2. Theme customization

Picking a theme that fits your products, then customizing it properly: homepage layout, navigation menus, product page structure, colors, and fonts. You learn what to change, what to leave alone, and why.

3. Products and collections

Adding products the right way — titles, descriptions, images, variants, and inventory — then organizing them into collections so customers can actually find what they want.

4. Apps that earn their place

The Shopify app store is a minefield of monthly fees. We cover which apps are genuinely useful at launch (reviews, upsells, email capture), which ones to skip, and how to remove what you do not need.

5. Payments, shipping, and checkout

Connecting payment gateways, setting up shipping zones and rates, configuring checkout settings, and testing the full order flow before a single real customer arrives.

6. Launch checklist

A step-by-step pre-launch review: domain connection, legal pages, test orders, mobile check, analytics setup, and the small details that separate a finished store from an abandoned draft.

Format

How the course runs

The course is built around doing, not watching. Each module ends with a concrete task inside your own store, and the next module builds on what you just finished. You move at your own pace and can revisit any lesson.

Preparation

What you need to bring

You do not need technical skills, but you do need a few basics ready:

  • A laptop or desktop computer with a reliable internet connection
  • A Shopify account — you can start with the free trial, we show you how
  • Your product idea, existing inventory, or at least a niche you want to sell in
  • Product photos or the willingness to create simple ones as you go

Pace

Timelines

This is a self-paced course. Most learners who put in a few focused hours per week finish the full store build in [FILL IN: typical duration]. If you already have products and photos ready, you will move faster. If you are starting from a bare idea, give yourself more room — the course does not expire on you.

There are no artificial deadlines. The only timeline that matters is your launch date, and we help you plan toward it.

Honesty

What this course won’t do

Plain talk: this course teaches you how to build and launch a store. It does not promise sales, income, or customers. A well-built store is necessary, but traffic and marketing are separate skills — and we will not pretend otherwise.

You will not find income screenshots, student-count claims, or guaranteed-result language here. What you get is a real skill, taught practically, that you keep for every store you ever build.

Questions

FAQs

Do I need coding or design skills?

No. Shopify is built for non-technical users, and the course stays inside what the platform offers. Where a small code tweak genuinely helps, we show you exactly what to paste and where — nothing to memorize.

Do I need products ready before I start?

Not necessarily. You can build with placeholder products and swap in the real ones later. But having your products or at least your niche decided will make the course much more useful.

Is the Shopify subscription included in the course?

No. Shopify bills you directly for your plan, starting with their free trial. The course fee covers the training only. [FILL IN: course pricing]

What if I fall behind or get stuck?

[FILL IN: support details — e.g. Q and A sessions, community, or email support availability]

Will I get a certificate?
